Of course impossible to judge the veracity of this, but if that's real, I am seriously looking forward to the second best card in the R9 3XX line-up. If it's competitive with the GTX 970 on price, while keeping up this kind of amazing performance (say, minus 20% or so), I'm definitely getting one.

Honest question: How accurate have any of these leaks ever been?

At least to me it always seems like some excitement builds up only to get blasted with disappointment.

I recall a 290X being rumored to beat GTX 780 SLI in BF4.

I think that was Mantle hype more than 290X hype.

As for the leaks, I don't really believe anything until I see board shots, or box art from the vendors. I personally think its too early for reliable benchmark leaks, since Gibbo said we would see nothing new from AMD until May-July. I'd say a month before then is when I start to give leaks a chance of being true.
