3 wireless bridges to my xbox 360. Too much latency?

Finally moved my xbox 360 to a room that's going to be the game room. Signal was non existent so I've got AP -> B1 -> B-2 -> B-3 that is connected to my xbox 360. I play mostly FPS so lag is just going to make the experience not so fun. How much latency am I looking at? All routers are running DD-WRT V24 RC-5.

Thanks

If it were to run the numbers on all that it wouldn't be pretty, but it's totally dependant on carrier availability and noise.

If i were to take a guess you're looking at about 15 ms of latency, with potential jitter swings of +/- 60 ms. That's just your network and does not include internet latency/jitter. Not good for gaming.

Why you need that unless you live in a 20,000 sq foot home is another question.

-edit-
If this is all bridged wirelessly your experience is not going to be good.

AP is upstairs, xbox is in the basement. I think I can take out 1 bridge. But there is some brick in between where I'm going so the signal drops off significantly at some points. BTW what is the difference on my virtual AP if I set it to WDS AP vs AP, might I shave off some latency in WDS mode?

Wow, seems like you might want to consider some power-line networking =)
Yup. Assuming his electrical wiring doesn't suck, power line networking should work well for gaming. (Stick with the so-called "200 Mbps" variety.) Specifically, all that latency spidey was talking about would disappear on powerline networking.

Even if his electrical wiring isn't great and the overall speed isn't high, the latency would still likely be far lower than his current wireless setup.
