A three wheeled tank....That of course never really went anywhere. Damned interesting design though.

And the hell of WWI. Reading the casualties figures compared to the gains is just insane. Talk about hell on earth.

Passchendaele

One of the early triumphs and tragedies of the Canadian armed forces.

this coin the canadians made in 2002 in memory of the battle is cool. i could not even imagine what kind of uproar would happen in the states if a coin was minted showing a womans naked breast.

I think you're exaggerating. We had a statue of a partially nude woman at the Justice Deparment for years and nobody minded except John Ashcroft.

People who complain about other people complaining before they've even had a chance to complain are worse than the complainers themselves.

Imagine the uproar in the U.S. if your Charter of Rights and Freedoms had this as its very first line:
Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law

Bow down to God now, and repent! For though the Path is hard to follow you shall not falter, be one with the Will of God and join Him in His eternal glory!

Ah dear sweet canadia, how I love thee
