3 weeks ago I dropped my cactus on my foot

My right foot has been hurting for 3 weeks now and started to get swollen.

Finally I got fed up and took a really close look last week. I could see 3 puncture wounds on my big toe, but I couldn't find anything.

It really started to hurt today, so I just started to push on the places where the three wounds were, pulling at the skin with tweesers and cutting little pieces of skin off to see if I could re-open the holes and see if I could see anything.

30 minutes and a lot of blood/pus later, I pulled out 3 ~1 inch pieces of broken cactus out of my big toe.

The lesson is, don't drop a fscking cactus on your foot!

The spikes were stuck in the toes and you waited 3 weeks? If you had taken them out immediately, you would be all healed up by now.

I looked really close when it happened and I couldn't see anything stuck in me. I figured that I just got stabbed.

a) it wasn't a cactus -- it was a porcupine
b) he didn't drop anything on him -- he got the quills stuck another way
c) it wasn't his foot

No thanks on the pics.... 😀

i think the lesson should be...go see a doctor asap

A doctor would just cut the wrong toe off and billed him $300. His way is better. With cactus spines sometimes you have to wait for the puss to form so it lubricates the hole so you can pull the spines out.
