Has anyone tried cutting the bridge PCB so it does not have the bottom connector "hanging" off?

Is this a joke?

Actually it is not. There's a big discussion on EVGA forums:

http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m...igh=SLI+bridge

They say connecting both cards' connectors using a 3X SLI bridge increases performance while others say not.

Funny thing is testing a 3Way SLI bridge with an ohmmeter reveals that using a 3X SLI bridge on two cards connects the right connector only while leaving the left OPEN! :D

So in other words using a single flexible style SLI bridge is electrically the same as using a 3X SLI bridge on two cards.

In a 3 Way SLI system the middle card is connected to the bottom card via the left side.

Monster Cables should get into the biz of making these things!
