May got a deal on 3 UltraSharp™ 2001FP (1600x1200).
I want to have some inputs are they good for eyefinity?
Or 3 none identical 1900x1080 (which I have 2 now) are better?

it's just one of my pet peeves.. but i like to have 3 matched displays, especially for gaming. office work not so much, but i like to have a smooth, matched display from end to end for my eyefinity gaming machine.

EDIT: are you going to get a second 5870 for eyefinity? a single one may choke quite a bit.

2nd 5870 won't increase the vram, right?

Wondering eyefinity can set like 1600 x (1200 x3) portrait ?

Also can use my Sapphire Radeon HD5870 2dvi & hdmi for eyefinity?

Eyefinity should work just fine with any three matching monitors, portrait or landscape.

That'd be far preferable to 3x1080p imho. The 16:9 aspect is already pretty damn wide, in a 3-wide it's just kind of overkill. With 4:3 it seems like 3-wide wouldn't be as bad.

4:3 in multi-displays work really well. I aquired 2x 22'' Dells at work that are 4:3 and I love them. They are WAY better than 16:9s if you do a lot of vertical scrolling or reading of longer documents/spreadsheets.

I hope the OP is aware the 2001FP only has 400:1 contrast ratio and 16ms response time, It's an old model.. originally released in 2003 (it was my first LCD purchase). LCD picture quality has come a long way since then.

Yes, I have used my 2001FP since 2003.
Just wanted to try eyefinity for $150 (2 additional). Good deal?
