Favorites Jan Ullrich, Ivan Basso and other cyclists were barred Friday from this year's Tour de France, which starts Saturday.

So if Lance Armstrong had been riding do you think that Lance would have been caught up in this whole witch hunt?

I am sure the allegations would have been made. I didnt read the link, but did they have actual evidence, or is this just an allegation that got them sidelined?

It doesn't look like it. This appears to be about a few riders who are tied to a specific doctor. Not to say that he didn't participate in blood doping activities... He dominated one of the most drug-soaked sports (probably second only to track and field) for nearly a decade... and he was clean?

Only one ball - less weight and less drag.

Armstrong has been tested literally thousands of times, several times a week, and has never been caught with anything.

He's been tested more times than any athlete ever, and always been clean.

Same as thousands of other "dirty" athletes. I'm not saying that he did... But the fact that he has never tested positive does not mean that he wasn't taking drugs. In the world of performance enhancing drugs, the cheaters are lightyears ahead of the testers.

Again... In one of the most drug soaked sports on earth, where litterally everyone was/is blood doping/using drugs, he was the dominating factor for a decade. I don't want to believe that he cheated but it's hard to avoid that thought.

He didn't dominate the sport, he dominated ONE racing event in the sport. This by no means takes away from the fact that he did dominat the Tour for nearly a decade.....but he trained for only one event wheras most of the other participants raced in several events throughout a year.

Baseball players are tested twice a year. Lance Armstrong is sometimes tested twice a day. Enough said?

The OP is an idiot to imply Armstrong was a cheater at one time.

At age 15, being raised by a waitress mother, he was a real contender in triatlons. He competed against men in thier prime at 25~35 years of age.

Call him a freak but not a cheat.

All these guys were tied to one Dr who was recently caught providing banned substances to other Athletes. Also, Lance Armstrong was recently cleared of allegations once and for all when past samples from him were retested after it was alleged these past samples did indeed contain banned substances. Those that did the retesting condemned the accusers. If Lance Armstrong cheated he was very good at it, but it looks to me he didn't.
