3 SSD's: Best use?

Hi guys,

I am seeking some opinions on a strange situation please :)

I have 2x Vertex 3 128GB, but have a Samsung 830 128GB on the way = 3 SSD's, which I plan to reprovision from scratch. I am undecided on what way to set them up, but here is what I have been using the 2 separate SSD's for so far (non-raid):

I am a programmer and mostly use Ubuntu development VM's in VMWare. I'm also a big gamer with a big (300+) Steam collection. I have been using Steam Tool to keep a couple of games on SSD and the rest on a big HD (junctions).

With 3 drives, I am wavering on whether to Raid 0 the 2 Vertex 3's or if there is some other configuration.

I have a 4TB Raid 5 drive for backup, which I do with a Fog server, so no need to worry about any of them breaking.

Anyone got any thoughts? I can't afford another one at the moment, so this is what I have to work with.

I have never liked raiding different brands. Things may have changed today but I would only raid the 2 vertex.

RAID the vertex's and use the Sammy for a split scratch drive/RST drive for the spinner.

Do you mean partition the samsung, half scratch, other half cache drive? I think I might have asked about this before, but I wasn't sure if you could do it?

I don't suppose you could give me a couple of pointers? I didn't know intel SRT let you cache a HDD that wasn't OS. Very interesting! :)

EDIT: I found a post on it here, but I am unsure if it is a good idea to try and load F6 Raid drivers on a windows 7 install as my experience is it is better to let it find the drive type or you end up with half speed drives for some reason. Grateful for any thoughts :)
