I like how the back cover on the 4 comes off as opposed to the screen popping out on the 3G/S you had to make sure to not pull too hard and break the ribbon cables attached to the screen.

The downside of the new iPhone is that the screen is probably going to be more costly to replace.

nice. but it's ok. we know most iPhone users will hop onto iPhone 5 anyway so by the time their battery REALLY dies the iPhone 6 is already out....

I love it.

Old iPhone: "Why would we ever need to replace the battery. Apple is so awesome to design it like that, and with no visible screws on the outside of the case, the design is so polished and sleek"

iPhone 4: "Isn't it awesome how we have these two exposed screws on the bottom of the phone that make it so easy to replace our battery? Good job Apple!!"

QFT.

My old phone simply has the technology called sliding back covers for battery access. AMAZING! :p

Typical haters. Years spent banging on "No replaceable battery". So Apple addresses your complaint and you have a problem with that too?

Really rather boorish.

And we still will since it still voids your warranty.

What they hate is apples attitude.

Having to void your warranty doesn't mean it's the same thing as popping off the back, taking out the battery and putting one in there like on every other phone out there.

If you're looking to replace the batteries yourself, or at a 3rd party shop, you're 99% likely to be out of the warranty period. I understand the whole "pop off the back cover & replace battery" thing but to be fair to Apple (and others who have similar designs) you can save space by not having to design a back cover and battery housing which can go towards making the battery larger or integrating other functions into the device.
