3 screen setup for work and gaming

Hey all,

I'm having a hard time deciding what I should do. I'm a med student and write all my stuff on my 13" rMBP which I connect to my 24" BenQ XL2411T. I purchased this monitor last year when I built my first gaming rig and thought I wanted to give 3D vision a try. I soon came to realize that I liked the additional monitor and the pivot function of the BenQ and I'm seriously considering getting at least one or two more monitors.

That being said I'm in a little kind of uncertainty which route would be the best.
While I enjoy 3DVision, it certainly is not enough to warrant the lack of color accuracy an IPS panel would provide. I'm think of either selling my BenQ and 3DVision said to purchase three new monitors or to stick with it and get simply two more of them. If I get new monitor what would be wise to get? Should I jump at some
2560x1440 monitors? Which one is recommendable? Should I save a little bit of money and get a 1920x1080 IPS panel? Or should I wait completely for a 4k display to hit the 1000
 
My dream setup has always been a 20-30-20, although that gets pricey pretty quickly.

Currently using a 24-24-17 (5:4) setup at home, and a 20-24-20-20 setup at work. Much more affordable as plain 'ol 1080p 24" are only ~$120 in a good deal.

 
So I was looking at different Korean monitors and although they are cheap, they usually don't offer Displayport Input, which would be nice to connect my MacBook Pro to (Dual-Link DVI Adapter is quite expensive) and they usually also don't have a pivot function.

I'm leaning towards the Dell U2713HM, which is supposed to be a very good display for it's price (500€ at Amazon.de). It has the pivot function and Displayport. Although prad.de gave it a very good rating, there are a lot of 1 star reviews on amazon.de saying that is makes high pitched sounds and some complain about image retention and backlight bleeding. Does anyone have this monitor and can comment on said issues?
