1. Can I defrag my HD in W2K Pro, or use something like Norton Utilities to do this, if I format my Hd in the begining with FAT32?

2. What about DirectX 8.0?? Can I install it with this O/S

3a. Do I need to log on to W2K EVERYTIME when W2K pro starts up, like in NT Workstation?? Is their anyway I can disable this? If its possible I think I'd have to into the Registry (which doesn't scare me at all :)

3b. How long does it take to do a clean install of W2K Pro in FAT32 on a 30gig HD? Man, when I installed NT Workstation on a 6.4G HD, it took an 1hr & 20minutes.

Thanks a lot.

3b. not long, because you no longer have the choice to not install all that extra crap that you'll never use, like games, disability features, outlook express, hyperterminal, paint, etc etc etc... just think of it this way.. all the stuff you always unchecked when you installed 95 or 98...? ALL of that stuff gets installed in 2000, whether you want it to or not. :)
