Motherboard has a space for a 2-PIN Connector, while the Case has a 3-PIN connector.

Is there an adaptor for this? Or what can I do to actually be able to use the LED connector?

Shift one contact over next to the other one in the shell - look around on http://www.frontx.com - they have illustrated instruction on how to move the contacts around in those shells - it's in the FAQ under Technical. And some mobos have both 2 and 3 pin Power LED connections. Look around at all the header pinouts.

Thanks for the direction. I had no idea you could shift the wires over without damaging the plug.

I find it easist to sue a sewing needle to gently pry up the black plastic tab then slide out the pin.

just dont stabb your fingers with the needle like me...:p

EDIT---hey my 100th post :)---EDIT

I am having this problem right now, hopefully the needle thing works.

Can I use the same pulg and just switch out the wire?
If I do this the plug slightly bends the pin on the mobo that sits next to the power led pin because its meant for a 2 pin not 3 pin. Should I be concerned about this?

Thanks ppl.

EDIT: nvm won't work with the same plug because the pwr switch connector wont fit if I do that. I will either have to buy/pirate a 2 pin plug or an adapter. ><

ever thought of cutting the extra peice of plastic off? shouldn't be that hard

or instead of moving the pin, just cut the empty center pind holder away, so if you get another board with the 3 pin spacing you wont have any problems

Well, you can cut the connector down the middle and aim the excess plastic outwords. Lots of ways to skin a cat...
