i knew that there are some fans that draw 4 watts out from the power like delta 38cfm.
and we have to take caution that the mobo might not support such a big power.

just wonder if the Pro2A support this fan??

Heng....there is no way I would ever put the delta on my MOBO. I'm sure it will support it, but I have read stories about bad juju's. Sometimes it just burns the fan head out and doesn't damage the rest of the MOBO. But, the poor guy who I read about had it doing ChemCAD calculations over night, and when the fan header shorted out, hte fan stopped and it melted his processor. Now, I have read that some people cut the Postitve and negative wires from the 3-wire adapter and plug just the RPM monitor into the fan header. Then they wire the + & - to a molex and plug directly into the PSU. This will keep from shortage and you can still monitor the fan in the OS/BIOS.

Is it really that bad? I got the Delta fan with my Alpha PAL6035 because it has really good output. I won't be doing all night calculations. I'll just be using it for games and graphics progs.
Also, how much of a performance boost do you get from putting the Blue Orb on the North Bridge? I ordered my Alpha cooler already from 2cooltek.com but getting the Blue Orb sounds enticing.

All the sites that sell it warn against pluging it into the MOBO, so when I built a system using the Black label 38 delta, I plugged it into the PSU...just to be safe. Plus, if you have a Geforce2....you will be sucking a huge amount of power from the MOBO. Just a warning.

The blob got me from 105 stable to 115 stable. I can post at 119. If I could increase the I/O voltage higher, then I know I could go higher. By it is locked at 3.45.

Use the delta fan,... i believe most HSF retailers are now including a 3 pin to 4 pin pass through adapter so you can use the delta fan onn a psu 4pin instead of the mobo 3 pin connector(i know for sure globalwin's fop38 gives this), or you can always get a fanbus which will also expand your ability to power more fans = )

Heng, if your really want to use the fan header, go with the smaller fan. But the Delta will give more performance and more noise. If you do use the delta, plug it into hte PSU not the MOBO.

Oooh yeah. I didn't intend to plug the fans into the motherboard. I already have the adapter to plug the delta fan right into the power supply.

how about ystech fan??

does the delta give more performance than the ystech????

if they have not much difference i will go with the smaller one
