Hi there. Why are some fan headers on the MB 3 pin and some 4 pin? Is the 4 pin header for the CPU HSF while the 3 pin are for the case fans?
If I only have one 3 pin header on my motherboard, can I hook up multiple fans to it using a splitter? Are there 3 pin splitters, that allow me to use a molex plug for power.
Some thing like this product (but this one looks like it has only 4 pins outlets).
