3 most underrated bands ever

Ok, list the three most underrated bands in you opinion and why.

Mine are:

1. Guster: In a word, Bongos!
2. John Mayer: the man is incredibly talented, so much so that it makes me want to shoot myself when I realize he is almost 10 years younger then I am.
3. Josh Radin: Hes almost completely unknown, but almost all of his music has been used in Movies and the television show "Scrubs"

John Mayer? His music makes me want to slit my throat.
I find his music extremely boring but I saw him on a Eric Clapton Special where his guitar work was highlighted playing a Blues song written by another artist and he was impressive to my surprise. He did look like the biggest dork though as he was wearing two Polo shirts both with the collar popped.

OK, keeping with the topic, its post the bands you think, IN YOUR OPINION, are underrated. It has nothing at all to do with whether you like a particular groups music or not, and I certainly didn't ask for a dietribe on why you think a band I happen to like sucks.

That is one of the reasons I think he is highly underrated. He is a freakin unbeleiveable guitarist if you see him live. I agree his radio cuts are nothing to write home about.

The road to success in the Music industry is littered with great musicians who never made it big. If there weren't a lot ofpeople who like his dull music it wouldn't matter how good his guitar work was.

Ah, but success in the music industry comes in many forms. As I have a Brother who makes his living as a pianist, I think the most appropriate barometer of success in the music industry is that if you can survive on what you get paid for your musical work, then you are a success. You don't have to be the next pop star or huge hit to be successful in the music industry.

A little OT...did you know Sgt Pepper was a knock off of The Who Sell Out?
How so?

John admitted that they were trying to emulate it. He and Paul both admitted that they "borrowed" ideas from The Who and others.

Or were you asking how Rush is underrated?

Can you link to their admissions or are we just supposed to take your word for it?
