Sweet!! Man, been waiting a long time for this thing. Works pretty good, I need to find some subsonic rimfire ammunition for it.

how does one legally obtain it for an assault rifle?!

Pay Uncle Sugar 200 bucks and wait about 4 months.

In my case I waited 3 months almost on the nose. Sent out the paperwork to the ATF on 1/11 and got the call today which is 4/13.

You bought a suppressor for a freaking .22??? WTF, was the store out of BB guns?

Its a .22 caliber suppressor, centerfire or rimfire. Works like a champ[ on the 556 stuff but when I'm just plinking I usually run .22LR in the AR-15.

Congrats! Nothing like shooting without hearing protection. I got to shoot a full auto MP5 that was suppressed a while back. That thing was a ton of fun.

Just a little correction, assault rifle refers to full auto or select fire (3 round burst) firearms, like the M-16. AR-15's are MSR's or modern sporting rifles (semi automatic, but incorporates cosmetic and ergonomic features from military rifles).

So what do you plan to do with that?

I can shoot with the kids outside playing and they dont go back inside because of the noise.
I can teach new shooters marksmanship without needing hearing protection.

But mostly shoot at night without waking up the whole countryside. Its similar to asking why you need a muffler on your car. It just makes the sport more enjoyable as a whole.

"It probably would be a federal offense if he did...probably."

Yeah.

Just needs a Form 1 rather than a Form 4, but you can build them at home.

Who said life isn't good?:D

Do you still have to pay the doc fee and submit to atf when you build?

You have the tools so it wouldn't be a problem for you but they told my bro that he had to babysit his while the gunsmith threaded his barrel. Could not leave it.
