Unlock the taskbar, then ckick and drag it to the desired monitor.

It will remain on that monitor regrdless of which monitor you choose as primary.

when i went from single monitor to 2 monitor, the icons and task bar moved automatically to the new monitor when i set it to primary.

how come it didnt do it this time when i set the 3rd monitor as primary?

also, gota drag and drop the icons to new monitor too? (highlight all then drag/drop?)

Try disabling every monitor other than the one you want to have all the icons on, click Apply...re-enable other monitors :)

Possibly the 3rd monitor is the secondary vidcard and window's doesn't want it's desktop widgets on the secondary vidcard?

primary video = gf4 4200 64meg agp
secondary monitor = radeon 32meg pci

3rd monitor (20" LCD 1600x1200) = primary = dvi port on gf4
2nd monitor (17" LCD 1280x1024) = vga port on gf4
1st monitor (17" CRT 1024x768) = vga port on radeon
