3 monitors 1 GPU?

Is it possible to have 3 monitors driven by 1 GPU if I'm using 2 HDMI and 1 DVI? I thought I read somewhere that this could only be done by using at least 1 DP.
 
depending on the card, some cards switch between connectors so you cant use all at the same time. and as far as DP goes, DP1.2 can be daisy Chained up to 3 1080p monitors from 1 GPU Output.
