3 mo anniversary gift

Okay. So today I was at Jimmy Johns with my gf for lunch and she hinted that tomorrow as our 3 month anniversary. So I know I need to do something so I don't look like an idiot. This is finals week, though, and it would have to be something easily attainable from a normal store because I was too lazy to get anything up until this point. ie, I can't order something online now obviously.

Next week I move into my apartment and we'll basically be spending the whole week together at my place, so if I get her something, I know there's bound to be great rewards. :-o

I'd like to say I should avoid jewelry because then when the 6 and 12 month anniversarys roll along (which they will) I can't really move up from jewelry, you know what I mean. I'm also not exactly rich.

anniversary

\An`ni*ver"sa*ry\, a. [L. anniversarius; annus year + vertere, versum, to turn: cf. F. anniversaire.] Returning with the year, at a stated time; annual; yearly; as, an anniversary feast.

The X-month anniversary is a tradition perpetuated by girlfriends to get them more presents.

I say we men start demanding kinky "anniversary sex" (but honey, it's our anniversary, can't we call your hot friend just for tonight?) and I bet there's a decrease in these forced observances 😛

She's asking for something after only 3 months? Dude, she's got you whipped harder than Jesus in the Passion. (apologies to BD2003)

Get her a book, CD, DVD, or a good meal. 3 months dosen't mean much.

She didn't ask for anything, she just mentioned that we've been seeing each other for 3 months tomorrow.

I paid for the first few dates when we dated, but gradually it's moved to me paying 2/3 the time, and now it's almost 1/2 and 1/2 of who pays when we go out, but it's still leaning a bit to my side.

I'm not whipped when it comes to $$$

And hey, if you're applying ANNIversary to months, why not days? 18-day anniversary sex.

A book is a great idea, it gives the impression that you put some thought into it, even though you didn't.

i don't think i could be with a girl that would expect me to do something for a 3 months.
i remember a friend that had a 1week, 1month, 2month, 10week, 3month, 6month...etc. anniversary
and no--he wasn't in highschool.

k, so nothing. I can obviously do that. 🙂

problem solved.

back to studying I go.

Umm... You better do SOMETHING thoughtful, because it sounds like she's expecting it! Cook her dinner, perhaps? Maybe offer her a massage? I don't think that I'd buy her a pricey gift, though, because that might start getting expensive when the 4,5,6,7... month "anniversaries" come along.

anyway, the advice was given so thanks for the input.. I'm not going to do anything I don't want to, so I'm just going to buy her a rose and show her a good time
