Man my lungs are killing me.
So whats some of your personal best running times? So far my best are 3 miles in 19 min.

think i did 3.5miles in a scaled down great north run for youths upto 16 yr old. im 18 now so i dunno what i could do. but when i was 16 i was training for swimming training twice a day every day. so i was pretty fit.

im sure it was 3.5 or 4 miles, (the great north run is 13mi) and i did it in bout 21-22mins. (probably 3.5miles then) wasnt too bad a day, not hot not cold, jus cool. the course wasnt too challenging, no steep hills, basically run up one dual carriage way and then back down the other side

Ive ran track all my life. I was able to run the 3 miles in 19 min after a summer of heavy training. I was also 3 years younger and 25 LB lighter. Im finally starting to fill out. I looked like a stick man untill 2 years ago.

I am hoping to run a 5k on sunday in 25 minutes... that would be my new personal best. Ive been running now for about 6 months and I am really starting to like it.

Oh and I currently weigh in at 280lbs. ( was 295 when I ran my first 10k in Nov )

I want to get down to 200 and run my first marathon by this time next year.

26.2 miles(marathon) in 3:32:06... I've only done 1.

3 miles in high school XC in 16:58

1 mile in high school in 4:43

I wanna do an ironman now, but I know that's asking for certain death.

My best mile was 5:40....but that's when I was 18.

Some of the guys that ran with me....well, by me....could run 4:20 miles.

I never timed myself on 3 or 5 mile runs, but I used to average 7 min miles when doing long distance.

I glad to see that im not the only one here that runs. 🙂

Although im thinking about dropping running and take up bikes. 😉 suppoesed to be less stress on your legs.

I'd actually like to learn to bike/swim better and then do a triathlon. I can bike/swim, but I'm not that efficient 😉

i can run faster in the cold and in rain for some reason. i don't know what my endurance level is, but i ran 2 miles in 15 minutes. well that was when i was like 17.

I'm running a marathon as soon as I graduate from college. Don't want the training to interfere with my studies or my track/xc training. Although I was seriously contemplating running the 26.2 on my own during the summer and seeing how I do.

userman, there are a fair amount of runners here. It's cool. nick1985 is another hardcore runner. He's wicked fast. I can only dream of being as quick as he is.
