Given the strange number (1520, not 1500) and the fact that it says the gratuity is on the total value of the service, not the price of the service, I'm guessing that someone made a mistake when they raised the gratuity from 15% to 20%. The intention is not to get you to force you to pay a huge gratuity, it is to prevent you from only tipping $2 because you only paid $10 for the service.

I wonder if there is any legal precedent for holding people responsible for a hyper-inflated bill.

If you're about to go out of business just post a super deal with a "likely" typo but then make everyone pay.

(I'm not intricately familiar with the legal system so if there's some obvious law that prevents this please educate me.)
