There was a 3 hour hostage standoff in Queens, where a husband took his wife who works for the police as a hostage. Several shots were fired, and for 3 hours the area around the standoff was evacuated, and police told the public not to come near the area of the standoff. It took the brother-in-law to come to calm the husband down, before the husband surendered.
