3 HD's & 1 DVD-ROM Setup for HTPC?

I plan on adding a 3rd HD to my HTPC, but was wondering how should I connected the 4 deviced and to which controllers.

HD1 = Partion1 = OS, Partion2 = BTV Buffer
HD2 = BTV Recorded Shows
HD3 = New Drive (Additional BTV Recorded Shows)
DVD-ROM

Currently I have HD1 and HD2 on the IDE1 and the DVD-Rom on the IDE2. When I add the 3rd HD, should I just connect it to IDE2 with the DVD-Rom. I plan on having HD2 and HD3 as dynamic disk so that BTV can see it as 1 large disk rather than 2 seperate drives. Thus I was thinking of putting HD1 and DVD-ROM on IDE1 and HD2 and HD3 on IDE2.

The only thing I was worried about was I remember being told not to mix HD's and Optical devices. Is this still true? Will I have any issues with this setup or is mixing IDE drives a thing of the past.

Thanks for the help
