==> AMD claims that the first Hammer will have three times the performance (including both ipc and frequency, not just ipc) of the 1.00GHz Athlon

===>Claw will start sampling, maybe production in 2001 Q4.

Sounds promising (although they slipped 1.5GHz Palomino to Q2, 2001), hopefully it will be on time to compete with 2GHz+ P4
 
AMD is getting so so far away from Intel.
