NO single factor consolidates wealth like higher oil prices.

My comment are thus. This years gasoline prices are effecting my life in profound ways. Yours too i wonder? Feel free to comment.

I'd just like to say i am disgusted and fed up with the constant chicanery going on that is ripping this Nation to pieces. By first of all ripping us all off finacially. Then shipping the bulk of our best paying manufacturing jobs overseas. Then flooding us with illegal aliens. Meanwhile stripping funds from everywhere in our Government to hide the real cost of the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. That escapade will cost at least a trillion dollars if not even much more if we next invade Iran. The Depleted Uranium released the equivalent of 400,000 hiroshima bombs across that region and also during the War in Bosnia. We have 500,000 sick veterans at home here in the USA.

Where does it all end?

Your comments please. I'd prefer replies from people who don't ignore reality for the sake of living in blissful ignorance. That Worldview is the reason there are so many conflicts today on forum like this. Some people seek truth. Others choose to ignore truth and try to discredit the truthseekers.

Wake up! You're paying almost triple the price of regular gasoline since electronic voting machines and the US Supreme Court that included Cheney's duck hunting buddy installed Bush Jr. as pResident in the WhiteHouse.

I love how the invisble dots are connected to form your opinion. Maybe those dots are invisible because you made them up? Where is the direct relationship between Bush and gas prices?

How exactly are gas prices effecting your life in a profound way? They effect everyone - but what makes it "profound"?

Wow - as you've made evident - your argument has no substance.

Seriously - how has your life changed in a profound way? I'm a college student, and I deliver pizza for a living. I drive 100+ miles at day at times. My gas tank would only cost 20 bucks to fill up a little over a year ago, yet now it costs 30. Yes - it's a substantial increase, but it's not breaking the bank. Hell - a decent meal at a fast food restaurant can cost upwards of 8-9 dollars.

Nothing has changed "profoundly" in my life - I just budget accordingly. If my broke ass can do it, so can you. Skip the Big Mac with the supersized Coke a few times a month, and you should be able to recoup the difference.

Use your head. You're just delivering pizzas. Try budgiting a trip across country and back not in a bug but in a truck that consumes 13mpg and take that trip - then talk back to me. Better yet, imagine you're not a pizza delivery boy but an independent trucker pulling 18 wheels around the Nation. "Profound" is just a choice in words but it about covers the feelings at the fuel pump.

"Skip a big mac?" heehe. That's only good for you.

Don't try and reason with young kids that haven't a clue yet on real costs.

Unfortunately P&N is loaded with them and they keep voting the Bush Monarchy in power.

The average person who can afford a newer truck that gets 13mpg probably will never be hit hard by gasoline prices.

If the cost of doing business goes up, maybe trucking businesses need to find other ways to save money. IIRC, walmart has brought avg fuel savings down almost 30% in their trucking fleet - from doing simple tweaks to the aerodynamics of their trucks, etc. Instead of bitching - why not do something about it? Purchase more fuel efficient vehicles , add a few more PSI to your tires, adjust your driving habits so that you maximize your fuel economy.
