3 displays on single nvidia gpu possible yet?

As the title says... Can nvidia cards support at least 3 displays on a single GPU yet, or are you still limited to 2?

I am not positive but my gut tells me no. If a discrete GPU is plugged in the IGP in sandybridge should turn itself off automatically.

Your only option (if you need 3 displays in one card) would be a dual gpu card from nvidia such as GTX 590 or an older GTX 295 or 9800 GX2. Or of course 2 seperate cards

I think most of us would expect Nvidia to add this capability (3 display per GPU) in their next generation Kepler architecture expected late 2011 early 2012.

do you happen to know if you can use SB IGP + 2 outputs on an nvidia card to achieve 3 total displays?

It works fine.

I just dropped in a Z68 motherboard to replace my launch P67 board. I'm running two 470's in SLI & previously had to switch between SLI & non SLI to drive my three monitors (I run a 20/30/20 inch setup so no vision surround for me). I'm now running all three monitors, one off each video card + one off the motherboard.

Two on one card + one off the motherboard should be no different. I would imagine two on the card + two on the motherboard would work fine too, if I am really feeling motivated I could test it.

awesome. z68 chipset it is. my work computer's case is pretty small, so dual dedicated GPU is not an option. currently it's an AMD x6 with a 5850 in it. obviously, i went this route for the multi-display, but since i was going to upgrade anyway, i wanted to get a machine that still supported 3 displays, but can also fold. the 5850 is some serious doodoo compared to nvidia cards.

oh neat! you can get actual money from bitcoin'ing? 😀

i hate you VL. i'm never going to get real work done today. now i have to read up on this!
