First, I'd like to say that I'm not trying to insult the game, but am only wildly curious as to others who may feel as I do - after hearing, or actually reading many good reviews of Max Payne, I was excited when a friend gave me his copy (the price hadn't gone down enough yet for me to buy) and to be honest, I beat it in 3 days. It was normal play, not New York Minute or anything-but still. And as for bullet time, did anyone else get kind of bored with that fairly quickly?
To sum up: is this game just a little overrated?

Just asking...if anyone would like to attack my gaming soft spots here they are:

Sacrifice
Undying
Alice
RTCW
Q3: TA
UT
MDK2
HM FAKK2

Sure, it was short. But I thought it was one of the funnest game experiences that I had had in a while, so worth it.

There are some mods and levels you can download to extend its life.

there were times during the game that i pulled a Keanu: "whoa". there was nothing else to say about diving headfirst down stairwells blasting baddies in slomo with the jackhammer!

To be honest I've yet to find a mod that really rekindles my interest in the game. Most of mods don't seem to change anything enough to really make the game worth playing all over again. As far as levels go, I havn't found any good ones. If someone else has, let me know. It would be great to play something new.

It was way fun, but certainly pretty short. Only so much you can do with that formula, I suppose. I played through it once, and then a few monthe later played it through about halfway.
