I have the above NIC card and am using @Home cable service.
In the advanced settings in Device manager there are several settings:

802.1p Support - Disable
Down Poll Rate-8
Flow Control- Enable
Media Type- Enable
RX Checksum Offload-Enable
TX Checksum Offload - Enable

Are these default settings OK? Should any of these be changed?
Any other XP Pro config suggestions are welcome.
I have done the reserve bandwith to 0% change and changed my RWIN to 64240.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Apparently, the default settings on the NIC are not the biggest performance impediment. There is a QOS scheduler service that steals up to 30% of your bandwidth away in exchange for (you guessed it) better quality of service. TheRegister.co.uk had a piece on it, but if you just go into the system services you can muck around with it or turn it off or whatever you want to do with it. Other than that, WinXP Pro seems to fly behind the SMC Barricade we put it behind. All MHO, of course...someone surely knows more than me on this matter...
