3 Column CSS Layouts

I need to re-do the CSS, and maybe some HTML, of a site I reworked awhile back because there's an issue in IE where if you increase the text size to Larger or Largest, the left menu drops down below the main middle content.

So I'm wondering if any of you have any suggestions of what you've used that worked well. Yeah I Googled "three column css layout" and there's a ton of matches, I could go through each one or just choose one, but I thought I'd ask here first.
