No I'm not. It's plainly posted for all to see. As for being a "doofus as well", I'm probably old enough to be your daddy. So I find it funny as heck when a pimple-farming, nothing to do with his time--waste case calls me that. Enjoy your funny little attempt here. I'm sure you'll grow up to be a fine liberal some day.

I've known people who are "older and wiser" who have made tons of their own mistakes and whose opinion I wouldn't trust over that of a 25 year old individual.

Cannnot believe that "I'm older than you" crap still flies in some peoples book....

Originally posted by: Hayabusarider Dont you know BoonR that if you question, you must be liberal? Or so it would seem. As for me, I voted for Bush, think he did well with Bin Laden, and is screwing up royally with Iraq.
I'm beginning to "feel" that messing with Iraq is a bad idea too, but I "think" that there has to be a very logical reason why Bush is pushing for this, and it's something he just can't reveal because of national security. Even if he revealed it to congress, they would have to keep it secret, so nothing would stop them from continuing to play politics about it.
While politicians are guilty of many things, people like Byrd are not so foolish to believe they can filibuster against military action, while knowing what they are doing conflicts with what they know. Evidence of this magnitude always comes out. Imagine trying to explain that you knew the US was in real imminent danger, but you ignored it AND put your career on the line for no reason. Remember, those against this know they will lose, and they are fighting nevertheless. I think the evidence of Congress actions supports the fact that there is insufficient grounds for an attack. In this case, I think what you hear reflects reality.
Clinton gave the Chinese supercomputer technology, as well as nuclear know-how that set them 20 (or 30?) years ahead of schedule to produce nuclear missiles. Given the faithful support of the democrats, I can't comprehend what logic they are using in their heads - I can imagine that even with the knowledge they have about Iraq, they have it in their minds we shouldn't go to war. Liberals strike me as a very utopian yet cowardly group.
That is true, but remeber the Republicans did not do anything about it once Bush was in power, and have gone further to promote trade, because trade = money. No, I do not believe the Democrats are saints. Still, it is the circumstances we find ourselves in that make me doubt any great conspiracy of silence.
I'm beginning to think attacking Iraq *now* is a bad idea. It's out of step. Personally, I think we should continue to work on Afghanistan, and build up their economy and rebuild a city or two. It would be cool if we built for them their own twin towers, brought them out of the stone age by setting up an internet infrastructure (probably satellite based) in the city that had the new twin towers, and setup permanent military prescence complete with a new UN embassy stationed there. The trick is to commercialize the core of Afghanistan, make the people proud of their country, and become Allies with the US to support anti-terrorist efforts. Would take 2 generations to complete. (1st generation is lost cause, they've already been brainwashed) As far as the republicans doing anything after the fact... what exactly are you supposed to do when you've given a nation blueprints and technology? Force them to give it back? I still say Bush HAS to know something nobody else does, to be pushing so hard for this attack, despite media coverage of "lack of evidence". Although this is being called a Preemptive strike, I think it's a reactionary strike - to events and circumstances we're not aware of.

Obviously, we will see what evidence exists and when it came to light at some point. At least we should. Anyway Re:Republicans. China is still not very good about human rights. Of course we cannot get technology back. You know I know that. The point is that if someone robs your store, even if it was not on your watch, you do not have to give them the complimentary free donut and coffee. If they did wrong, why are we not pressuring them economically? Remember Tibet? That is STILL going on. We DO know about things happening there. Yet, we are buddy buddy. If Saddams behavior is abhorent, then so is Chinas. China = good friends? Show me they have changed. Anyway, I am glad you are questioning. As for me, before we start killing and being killed, I want evidence. To say that it might reveal the source of information when it can be sanitized, but you can risk thousands and that is ok, is not OK with me.

A poll like this just goes to show some peoples' impatience and immaturity.

I concur. In comparison, there a far more threads started about Ricer's (I hate that word) and Guys who have never felt a vagina.

Yeah, you'd think most of these guys would take a hint, get a job and start going to the gym. *shrug*

This has turned out to be a failed attempt at taking the pulse of AT, if you will. I took the most commonly discussed items (cars, politics, guns) and opinions, threw them into a poll format, and turned everyone loose. I had envisioned a simple result, i.e. 56% for Bush, 44% against; 78% for SUVs, etc. But it's turned into a free-for-all based on the phrasing I used in the answers. Oh, well.

Mmm... I try not to, though. Most of the guys here who gripe about relationships know exactly what they need to do, they just don't want to do it. They don't need me reiterating it to them.

You weighted the poll. How were you expecting simple results?

So all those people that call into Rush Limbaugh's show are really Liberals then.

No. Most of them really are too simple minded to see the humor in your post. Of course, so is Rush. :D
