I thought I would be playing FarCry 2 today but I keep getting 3 beeps.

I have these as components:
Ultra 750Watt PSU (4 wires plugded to mobo)
Intel DX58SO Mobo
New core i7-920 CPU
Two Patriot DDR3 rams (PDC32G 1333ELK)

I do not see the POST, the screen stays all black. All I hear are three (not quick) beeps. I read that the three beeps indicate missing memory but I have put the two rams on all four slots while testing.

What do you think the problem is?

What are the possible causes?

I have to of the same RAMs, can they both be faulty? Is it the mobo or the cpu?

All you have to do is read the board manual. It will tell you if you can run with 2 sticks. Ddr3 is dropping in price. Newegg had some for $40 after rebate with free shipping the other day.

The manuals say that I can use on DDR3 RAM on the top slot, so I did. I also tried it on the bottom one.
