3 band headphone w/ mic to standard 2 band stereo

I have bought a new Entempo Spirit mp3 player and its pretty cool, theres just one problem. The headphones that come with it have an integrated mic and the connector has 3 bands on it w/ 4 seperate gold bands 2 for the mic and 2 for the headphones. I need to be able to find a converter so that i can jack it in and connect a regular set of headphones to the player. does anyone know how i could do this??

Have you tried a regular set of headphones yet? They should work without an adapter. They usually space the rings on the 4 conductor connector so that you can still use a regular headphone. The missing 4th band for the mic will just be grounded.
