$3.99 Yate Loon 120mm fans

I got 5 of the oranage Yate Loons, and 5 of the blue LED fans. For the price, I'm totally impressed. The Yate Loons are all but silent with full voltage, and neither of the fans has any ticking or motor problems turned all the way down to 5v with a fan speed controller. the blue LEDs even stay pretty bright at 5v, too.

I hope this guy is making money. 🙂

 
Damnit, when I checked a week ago there were 1000+ available, now it's only ~40, and they're more expensive.

Anyone order more than they wanted at want to sell me 2?

Hmm, I ordered 5 of the blue LED ones and they shipped me 5 orange ones. That sucks. They're sending me a UPS return shipping label to ship them back, so I don't have to pay shipping. Still, wish I would have gotten the right order the first time. =\

Edit: They e-mailed me a prepaid shipping label. Printed it, taking it to UPS for return shipping. At least they made that part easy!

If you got them for $3.99 + shipping, I'm sure someone would be willing to take them off your hands for that price + shipping. 😉

Update: Just looked at the site, and even though it doesn't show qty discount, if you select the item and change the qty to 5, you can get them @ 3.99 ea still. It appears the deal isn't dead yet (I verified this w/the blue LED ones)
 
I just tried to order the orange ones. $5.99 x 5 plus shipping. Quantity about 40 or so.

Oh well, thought I had one part of my upcoming build done. Maybe next time.

Edit: OK, the blue ones work for me. Quantity in the hundreds. Five via Priority Mail for $26.70. I'm in.
 
I like the blue better than the orange, but i dont want the LEDs (in my bedroom) is there a wire i can snip to make these LED-less?
 
Thanks to Mindless1 for the Papst link. They aren't new, but I just ordered 12 120x38mm fans for less than $18.00 shipped. Not a bad deal there.
 
Grr, I need one more of those orange yate loon fans, if anyone wants to sell it for $4 + actual shipping I'd be interested. NicePants42, let us know how those pabst fans work out for you. I'm guessing you can still connect that pabst fan straight to the motherboard headers (3 pin)?

Blue ones are SM model rates 1650RPM, orange ones were SL 1350RPM and they are significantly quiter than SM series. Not to mention that SM model is clear plastic, which is much more prone to vibrations than non-transparent one.
