Which is better than "the usual" 2%. But it means I'm still grossly underpaid...

And you wonder why I sit on ATOT all day long. :whiste:

As with most Americans, they're only concerned with the interest rates percentage, principal be damned. (funny story about the housing market I'll tell you later on)...

Agreed. 3.5% on top of a 'more proper' base salary and my OP would have a somewhat different tone.

I'm still very appreciative of the appreciation as well as the direct recognition that came along with the notification though. And the additional perks have intrinsic value as well.

3.5% is infinitely more better than 0%.

Agreed. I'm always grateful that each year it's not -100%. Been there, done that, never want to do that again.

Love the company I work for currently. I almost feel guilty every time I look at listings to see what's out there.

I was going to say that I thought SSSnail was confused about the subject of the thread, but then SunnyD made a serious response and now I'm confused. Oh, well, salary raises or mortgage loans - it's all good as long as they understand each other.

It's possible. I was sort of left wondering myself. :hmm:

Either way, my response (hopefully) fixed any confusion that may have been.

That's a lot of bullets, and I don't think my raise will cover that bill. But we sure have defied nature so far!

I don't know what the hell we are talking about... but I'd like to voice my displeasure as well. 3.5% is bullshit.

I didn't expect to be here a year so I wasn't concerned about increases... but it will be a year coming up in 2 months and it will take a hefty increase to keep me. I've already forewarned them of this so we'll see.

No, sunny's response was perfect. He knew what I was on about. ;)

I was hoping this thread was about savings account rates. :(
