3.5" CD Adapter for Slot Drives

You used to be able to get them at record stores like Tower or Wherehouse. They are the opposite of the 45RPM adaptors. They are plastic rings that snap over the outside circumference of a 3.5" CD to make it 5.x" in diameter so it will fit into a tray that has no guides for the smaller diameter CD.

I tried the Nintendo GameCube promo mini-CD in my friend's slot-load Pioneer drive with no adapter and it took it fine (Watched some of the Quicktime files and such). Pioneer said it would on the web site too... Perhaps they've updated their stance on compatability from some rare issue or something...
Funny thing is, Nintendo sold "Shape CD" soundtracks for Yoshi's Story on Diddy Kong Racing in their catalog that were nearly full size. Those had no adapters 🙂
