3.4 OC to ?

I have just purchased a p4 3.4. I would like to overclock it, but I want to know how high I can overclock it WITHOUT adding any extra cooling what so ever. I am thinking it can go to 3.6? What do you all think?

I have a 3.4c at 3.8 vcore 1.6 with high end cooling. WIth stock cooling, I would think 3.6 shoule be fairly easy.

Hi fellow 3.4C owner. I'm using my CPU in a SB61G2R Shuttle XPC. So I'm using the I.C.E. heatpipe to cool down the CPU, and not the stock HSF. I've been only able to OC the chip up to 3.7GHz - FSB at 218MHz. On other overclocking forums, 2 other people have been able to push the FSB up to 230 for a speed of 3.9GHz. This is using the stock cooler. I'm using some OCZ DDR433 while the other 2 are using Mushkin DDR433. I plan on swapping out a more powerful power supply to see if this helps with my overclocking.

So you will definitely be able to overclock to a minimum of 3.6 with stock HSF. Hopefully, you are luckier than me and get better than 3.7GHz

Edit, oh yeah, forgot to mention I have already bumped up the Vdimm to 1.65v, unfortunately, this didn't help. While the other two, one is at stock 1.55v and the other has bumped his Vdimm upto 1.65v.

You must mean Vcore. Vdimm should be somewhere near 2.8

3.6 is almost expected out of that CPU. get some better cooling and a small Vcore increase, perhaps you can get to 3.8 or better. 🙂
