tonight was motown night! complete with the funk brothers as the band and their most prolific songwriters ashford and simpson.
overall, i loved tonight. good energy, lots of fun.
Camille: i was only listening to her as i was bustling in the kitchen cooking. from what i heard, she's a LOT better than she was last week but nowhere good enough.
John peter lewis: man... you can't help but love the guy but vocally i don't think he's strong enough.
latoya london: she's still one of my favorites. i can do without the extensions, but she always sounds awesome.
amy adams: she started awesome, but ended kinda weak. she still had a good performance.
jennifer hudson: i didn't like it. i thought it was a bit over the top and when she sings she does not look like she's enjoying herself.
john stevens: man. i used to love that song. sigh. he just can't sing past frank sinatra...
jasmine trias: she started semi weak but she ended strong. i love jasmine. she's another one of my favorites. she rebounded well from last week's travesty.
diana degarmo: WHAT A VOICE. i love her voice also. these little young girls are sooooo good but i think jasmine relates to an audience so much better than diana.
fantasia barrino: i loved how she worked the band. that's what a star does, like simon said. i love how she sings, although i can see why her sound can be grating.
george huff: I LOVE GEORGE! GEORGE RULES! he issoooooooo awesome. simon called him the backline of the temptations, and he brings out the temptations "ain't too proud to beg" he is undeniably the best of the guys.
my bottom three, based on performance, would be camille, john stevens, and john peter lewis.
the actual bottom three would be camille, amy, and maybe john stevens...
