Lifer
Games come as a bundle for $12.99, they are not on sale individually

Assassins Creed Directors Cut
Call of Juarez
Far Cry 2
Rainbow Six Vegas 2

I don't buy any Ubisoft games at all. I don't care how good or how cheap they are. I will not support them and their DRM.

+1

dude ive been burned by UBI so many times.

There games work, or they dont work no matter how hard you try.

So i just stopped getting UBI Soft.

But make sure you hit the web and do some research to see if its a bunk game which has a lot of issues running.

Damnit Steam!

I've been wanting to try CoJ and FC2 for a while now, and I don't own any of these games, so Steam just wrangled another $13 out of me...

At first I was like OOH, good deal.

Then I saw the list of games included and said, "Meh".

I already own 3/4 of those games. Doubt that CoJ is worth the $12. But for those of you on the fence, the other 3 are good but not great games. However the 3 together is easily worth the price, you'll get lots of hours out of all of them.

Yup. I already own two not yet played, so it's once again the problem of having to re-buy games if I want the deal. Having hundreds of games waiting is helping to resist.

I picked it up. As far as I know none of these games feature the Ubisoft DRM that we all hate so much. R6 is pretty fun co-op and Far Cry is good for a play through. I'm hoping AC will be a fun game to chill while I'm laying in bed.

gah i want AC

has it gone cheaper? I'm guessing FC2 and COJ would provide some fun FPS.... R6V2 does not interest me at all

This looks like a good price, but I will probably pass because I have too many games already installed, and am kind of burned out on these type of games.
I know people will criticize me, but the online requirement to play the game is no big deal to me. A friend played the last splinter cell game, and then I played it after him, and neither of us had any problems. Granted we do live in a large metropolatin area with reasonably fast and reliable internet.
I just dont see why people hate this so much and love steam. Doesnt steam basically require you to be signed on and on the internet too?? I know there is offline mode, but does anyone really use it?? I tried a couple of times and had problems because it messed up the online saves.
Anyway, those of you that feel strongly about this, you are entitled to your opinions, but personally I dont really understand it. Is it that you are against the requirement in principle or just that you think UbiSoft did a bad job?

Well it's $3.25 each if you play them all and $4.33 if you only play 3. Haven't seen AC for $5 yet, but cheapest I've seen FC2 on Steam is $5. Luckily I wanted them all so sweet deal for me. 🙂

hot, fyi i love steam's offline mode when my internet is out

I got 3/4 of the games already....very tempting to have a digital backup.

I picked this up. Already did ACII, so now I can try AC. Vegas 6 is usually not my type of game, but it did get good reviews. Already know to stay away from FC2, but figure my kids will like it, and have been itching to try CoJ.

As for the "always on internet connection", seems like it may or may not be part of the steam edition, but I'm always on anyway so it doesn't matter much to me.

Will pass. Own FC2 already, have played AC on Xbox, will rent RS:V2 on Xbox eventually, and not interested enough in CoJ to drop $13 and support their shitty DRM.

Guess I dont really understand the off line mode then. Dont you have to be on the internet to log on to steam first and then go to off line mode, or can you set it to log on the next time you want without being on the internet??
Still think you could have a conflict with wiping out your saved games if not careful. In other words, can you have separate save games in on line and off line modes?
