3.2 GHz/2MB cache vs 2.4 GHz/4MB cache

I am curious to know which one will perform better, AMD 6400+ GHz/2MB cache or Intel 2.4 GHz/4MB cache?

I'm sure you can google to find some comparisons.
Are you comparing the E6700 or the E6750 to the X2 6400+?
There isn't really much difference in performance between a 2.4 GHz Core2 and a 3.2 GHz X2. Shows how much Core 2 upped IPC

The AMD would be a little faster in most apps, a lot faster in a few. But it doesn't have much OCing headroom.

Usually Intels equal AMDs that are 500MHz faster. This is an 800MHz difference so it will show.

The 6400+ edges out the E6600 barely, as I remember the E6600 is about equal to a 6000+
