3 2.1 speaker setup on a Hercules 5.1 sound card?

With the Hercules 5.1 card can I use Three 2.1 speaker setups that I have for 5.1 sound instead of buying a 5.1 speaker set? Will connecting a 2.1 to each of the 3 ports for 5.1 work?

I would think so. Each of the three outputs on your soundcard should have a headphone style jack that you can plug into the respective speaker setups. If you already have a 2.1 setup, you might be better off buying a 4.1 setup, instead of two other 2.1's. Likewise, if you don't have any speakers, you might be better off buying a full 5.1 setup
