Saw this today...i give it a "meh". They hyped it up as some action packed adventure...it was hardly that. Pretty slow in fact.

Yeah...I hate when they try to bill a thinking movie as an action movie. Just be honest with us :(

I went because of the action, but thought it a pretty decent story paired with very good acting

It was a classic western with a good twist... how do you go into this movie expecting anything other than a western?

Can western's not be action movies?

Because when the plugged the hell out of it they couldn't stop saying how action packed it was.

I'm probably going to pick up the dvd at some point anyway.

I never really thought of Westerns as action movies. They usually have intense buildup to one or two (or maybe three) fight scenes - the action is usually very condensed.

As for non-action Westerns there's an argument to be made that There Will Be Blood is a Western despite having no gunfights. I don't buy it though.

If you do too, you will not be able to watch this movie on Bluray, even with the latest firmware.
Gonna have to rent it on sd until a workaround.

I have the same player. I've been waiting to see this movie.

Did you dload the lastest firmware from their site?
I'm afraid to try- I still have the one that came with the player, tried the ethernet update but that didn't work. May try the iso-burn to cd but don't wanna be a guinea pig with this update. With Samsung, you never know what you'll get.

Have you tried Live Free Die Hard and POTC-AWE on bluray on your machine?
Did they play successfully?

I just watched "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford". It reminded me a bit of "3:10 to Yuma". Westerns are entering a weird new era it seems. Now it's all about the strange and charismatic almost-but-not-quite-bad guy. This has been a theme in the past, but now we see this guy from a slight distance with another seemingly marked as the protagonist. In "3:10 to Yuma" it was Christian Bale, in "The Assassination..." it's the guy who played Robert Ford.

I, for one, welcome this new thing. Showdowns in front of the town saloon get played out after awhile.

I saw this is available on the XBOX 360 Marketplace. I may download it along with that Jodie Foster film.

Pirates 3, Die Hard 4, Pixar Short Films Collection, Sunshine, and Mr. and Mrs. Smith have been confirmed working with the latest firmware. 3:10 to Yuma and Across the Universe still do not work.

See this thread: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=978920

I upgraded the firmware through the ethernet port, but you can download the iso from samsung's website and burn it to a CD-R. Make sure you burn at the slowest speed possible.

I just picked up the p1200 from sears for $92. I was so disappointed when I read the reviews when I got home. do you guys think it's worth keeping? upconversion/upscaling is awesome, I'm hoping a future firmware update will fix things

Ben Foster was awesome as the crazy sidekick.

He really was. It took me a couple days after seeing Yuma to remember where I knew him from - I finally realized that he was the crazy guy in 30 Days of Night who wanted the vampires to take him with them. I need to look up soem of his other work.
