SL6PG 3.06 GHz 533 MHz 0.13 D1
SL6S5 3.06 GHz 533 MHz Northwood C1

Of these two chips, does anyone know which is the better overclocker? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well commonly it is the later stepping which would be the D1.....OCing is luck of the draw and it is conceivable you could get a dude with the D1 stepping and have a C1 steeping out do it....

However the D1 stepping in the 533fsb chips was pretty nice in ocing taking most of the chips to the 3.2 at least....Now the fact you have a 3.06ghz which is pretty much top end of the line I wouldn't expect that much....May be better worth it to find a 2.8ghz 533fsb chip in the d1 stepping and take advantage of the the higher fsb you would get when ocing to same levels versus the 3.06ghz....

The problem with that though, is the 2.8's do not have hyperthreading. That's my primary reason for upgrading from my 2.4@2.7 to this to begin with. Thanks for the input though.
