Just got a 3.06 P4 and want to enable HT in XP without reformatting. Is there a way to force the multi-proc kernel in XP without reinstalling?

It should detected it automatically for you. If not, go into device manager and change it from there. No need to reinstall.
 
To clarify: I believe you have to go into device manager, change the HAL from uniprocessor to muliprocessor, then reboot.

Let us know if it works. You can test it by opening task manager to see if two processors are being displayed.
