What should I expect from a p4 3.06 on an Abit IT7 MAX2 v2 in terms of overclocking potential. I have Corsair XMS3000 (does DDR 400 at lax latencies) RAM. I wanted to make a relatively cheap and easy upgrade, I have a 1.8a at 2.4 and change currently. I have a Thermaltake Volcano 7+ heatsink.
 
With a better heatsink (and that motherboard), you should have no problems hitting 3.4-3.5ghz with aircooling. There are 2 or 3 people around here doing exactly that, with an IC7 and a 3.06B.
