3.05 CC and 3.05 SAH have been released to Beta for all platforms.

NOTE: This is the first release where the Windows build is a release build. 3.06 will be switched back to a debug build as the SAH developers think they can track down a few more issues before the public launch. You'll have some more release builds to play around with before public launch.

So, what is the deal with the BOINC beta? Specifically can I switch my machines over to this new beta, and will I still get the normal credit for my WU's?

Another question (for anyone currently running the BOINC beta), is it worth switching? Or should I just stay with the classic SAH client until BOINC goes public?

It looks like they will start over when Beta ends. I downloaded the client, but can't find a URL to use to tell it what project I want to run. The instructions are poor at best.

Anyone know what URL to use for BOINC SETI? I just want to put one machine on it. TNX!

Like JW said the stats will be reset when BOINC leaves the Beta stage so any work done before will be gone.

Have they started doing anything other than AsproPulse?

The clients says "Started download of setiathome_3.05_windows_intelx86.pdb" - doesn't seem to be crunching yet. It has been over 6 mins.

no only Seti is crunching there at this moment, the .pdb File is around 1.5 Mb, maybee the Servers are overloades, at this moment, but i updatet 4 host this Day without problems, i think your isp is fast enough.

My run ticked in at 4h37m in v3.05, as comparison the same machine uses 3h40m in seti@home-v3.03.

So if Berkeley will use the same result-setup at release as currently in beta, this will say BOINC is now 72% more effective than seti@home. 😎
