While I believe its not impossible for St. Louis to comback, its obviously possible, the Red Sox just did it.
However, when the Red Sox did it, they did it against a team they saw 19 times during the regular season
and 3 times already in the postseason. So there is nothing the Yankees could put out there the Sox hadn't
seen before, ie why Riveria loses his dominance. When you constantly get a chance to see someone you
start to figure him out.
St. Louis has seen the Red Sox 3 times this season. And the Red Sox pitching is better than the Cards.
Most of the Cards haven't seen Lowe this season which means, if he pitches like he did against the Yankees
I think the serious is over. The Cards on the other hand, haven't figured out the Sox hitters. So even if they
have a great game 4, they still have to pitch Woody Williams game 5 and Morris game 6. And neither of them
made it past 5 innings.
While I definately believe St. Louis is a good enough club to comback, it will all be dependent on how they look
game 4. If they look beaten during the game (which they might), its over. If not they still have a chance.
I mean, when Fox would show game 7 of the ALCS, there was only one Yankee I can remember that didn't
look beaten and that was Jeter. Matsui, Sheffield and A-Rod all looked beaten in the fifth inning. When you
already think you've lost, how can you comeback?
