Would it not be poetic justice for the Red Sox to lose the World Series?
3-0 right now....just like the Yanks where....
The curse is not over yet....hopefully the same thing they did to the Yankees
will happen to them..

there is no curse. it's an excuse.
now most likely they don't have to make any.

they will probably lose game 4 because they are bound to have a letdown game.

then with that energy st louis will win game 5.

back to boston for game 6, st louis has momentum and they beat the red sox in an extra inning game.

game 7, the st louis cardinals pull off the greatest comeback in sports history by beating the boston red sox. ;)

obviously it's not likely to happen, but a lot of unlikely things have happened to the red sox over the years. :) hence "the curse".

No, there is no curse. The Red Sox are an extremely strong team. They will win the world series.

We can still hope :D But seriously, they're a pretty cool and deserving group of guys, except for martinez and ramirez, and it would be pretty cool if they won - if they weren't the red sox.

Agreed. After watching the first three games I see no reason why the Red Sox's can't win the next one. The Cards just don't look that impressive.

When the Red Sox's win the 4th game hopefully the police will think twice before shooting and killing unarmed civilians.

Hopefully the fans will think twice before burning things in front of gas stations, flipping cars, and scaling walls too.

While I believe its not impossible for St. Louis to comback, its obviously possible, the Red Sox just did it.

However, when the Red Sox did it, they did it against a team they saw 19 times during the regular season
and 3 times already in the postseason. So there is nothing the Yankees could put out there the Sox hadn't
seen before, ie why Riveria loses his dominance. When you constantly get a chance to see someone you
start to figure him out.

St. Louis has seen the Red Sox 3 times this season. And the Red Sox pitching is better than the Cards.
Most of the Cards haven't seen Lowe this season which means, if he pitches like he did against the Yankees
I think the serious is over. The Cards on the other hand, haven't figured out the Sox hitters. So even if they
have a great game 4, they still have to pitch Woody Williams game 5 and Morris game 6. And neither of them
made it past 5 innings.

While I definately believe St. Louis is a good enough club to comback, it will all be dependent on how they look
game 4. If they look beaten during the game (which they might), its over. If not they still have a chance.
I mean, when Fox would show game 7 of the ALCS, there was only one Yankee I can remember that didn't
look beaten and that was Jeter. Matsui, Sheffield and A-Rod all looked beaten in the fifth inning. When you
already think you've lost, how can you comeback?

I'd laugh if it happened... it'd be typical..

but no, I really don't think the Cards have much of a chance.. granted, Boston didn't either, so who knows...

But still, I'd laugh..

They will find a way to throw it away.

Nomally I'd think that, being a long time Sox fan and all. This time, the way the Cards have been playing, I tend to think the Sox have a very good chance of winning it tonight. The Cards really seem to be cursing themselves and have given up/slumping.... while the Sox have had all the luck going their way and playing confidently. That can change in a hurry, so, who knows.

I think Lowe's going to be effective tonight, so, it should at least be a close game. Plus we have Arroyo and Wakefield available for backups (I'd guess Wakefield--even though he got in trouble in game 1, he's still effective, and that leaves Arroyo for Game 5 if needed; Schilling for Game 6; and Pedro for Game 7 (ugh--don't want to see that).

If Bosox can get an early lead again tonight, well, that may be it. If not... let me just say I'll be glad when the season is over, either outcome... my nerves are shot!
