Hi

What gives the best performance 4x256 PC4000 or 2x512 PC4000. Or is it almost the same?
My motherboard is the MSI K8N neo platinium

Is there any difference 2 x (Corsair XMS 1 x 256 MB) and (Corsair XMS 2 x 256 MB)?

Dont those amd cpus force the memory to run at 333 instead of 400 if you have 4 sticks, or 2 double sided sticks?

I have 2 double sided 512 sticks and they are running at 200MHz DDR (400)

I'd go with 2x512. Even some nforce4 boards will only allow memory to run at 333 if there are 4 sticks I have heard, and also at a 2T command rate, which also hurts preformance. I can't think of a reason not to run just 2 sticks, as 4 will provide no extra bandwidth and may cause problems.

4x256mb is going to automatically set your command rate to 2T. It's not the motherboard, but the A64 onboard memory controller.
