Question 2x32GB vs. 4x16GB (DDR5, no OCing)

Assuming the same CL, which option is faster for 64 GB?

I don't know how ranks and stuff work, so feel free to get into that if you want.

As far as I understand it, less sticks = less load on IMC and generally more stable. But again, I don't really know about which is faster or "better".

No personal experience (yet), but everything I've read suggests that on current generation desktop CPU's, 2 sticks good, 4 sticks bad.

(BTW you can only directly compare CL numbers at the same transfer rate, but you probably already know that.)
