2x3 projector array vs EyeFinity

I am runing a 27 inch screen now, HP2711, and am thinking about upgrading. I don't want bezels, so i am thinking about a 2x3 projector array hooked up to my 2x6990s. Is this realistic on $2K budget and mostly important, how is the quality of "reflected" projector light vs monitor "emited" light in terms of contrast/brightness? Room has a window in it, but i want to be able to use this setup inmoderate daylight or with a single 100w bulb. I want about 50" diagonal display area for my minesweeper...
