2x2gb DDR2 4-4-4-12 @450mhz, which kits?

I need some advice for 2x2gb kits that are able to do 450mhz at 4-4-4-12. I haven't had any experience playing around with 2x2gb kits and I usually see kits that are able to do high clocks with 5-5-5-15 timings.

what cpu are you trying to overclock, and what buss speed are you trying to acheive? for example I have my q6600 running at 3.2 ghz with my mem set at 400x8 5-4-4-15 in sync 1:1 on p45 chipset

I was thinking of running 1:1 at 450mhz 4-4-4-12 like I'm currently running with my crucial ballistix on an X38 chipset. What I'd like to run on my E6400 is 8x450 for 3.6ghz. So you say running async offers better performance than 1:1 with lower timings? If at 5:6, that would mean I'd have to have a kit capable of 540mhz to achieve 450mhz fsb. I haven't tested out my board to see its capabilities yet, it's an Abit IX38.

Nice, so they go just a bit past the rated speed. How about at 5-5-5-15? How high does it go with that?

that's up to you to find out and not me to be your guinea pig

So what were you able to get with your specific set at 5-5-5-15?

The G.Skill Pi Black 800/900 4-4-4 kits use Qimonda & seem to do better at CAS 4 than PSC does, but worse with CAS 5.
I've never seen CAS 5 results for those even close to as good as PSC.

That said, assuming you just want to stick with 1:1 CAS 4, the DDR2-900 kit would work well for you.

It's still an okay price at newegg.ca for us Canadians too.

Just found another kit that slipped my mind. Crucial Ballistix 2x2gb, apparently they do 4-4-4-12 @900 with reasonable volts. Can't seem to find anything much on the quality of these though, at least not anything like D9GMH/GKX and D9HNL dying. Anyone know anything else about those 4gb ballistix?
